Grimes LG. 2010. Macro-geographic dialects and changes with time in the song of the Splendid Sunbird Cinnyris coccinigastrus. Malimbus 32: 69-88. (3 St Nicholas Court, Warwick CV34 4JY, U.K.; EM: lnjgrimes"at"googlemail.com.)—Carries forward work started in 1970. Analyses spatial and temporal dialect changes, a dialect being defined by the visual appearance of the spectrogram of the song of the male and of the pattern (graph) of time intervals between successive notes. Presents many spectrograms and graphs. Obtains spatial changes from songs recorded by self and others in 7 countries, covering the distribution range of the species, and temporal changes from recordings at the same locations in 3 countries for up to 30 years. Reports one bird singing with two distinct dialects. Applies no statistical tests but gives standard deviations of data at points on time interval graphs to establish credibility of conclusions, which show greater spatial than temporal variation.

Yaokokoré-Béibro HK. 2010. Oiseaux du Parc National des Iles Ehotilé, sud-est Côte d’Ivoire. [Birds of the Parc National des Iles Ehotilé, south-east Ivory Coast.]  Malimbus 32: 89-102. (Université de Cocody-Abidjan , UFR Biosciences, Laboratoire de Zoologie et Biologie Animale, BP 582 Abidjan 22, Côte d’Ivoire; EM: hyaokokore"à"yahoo.fr.)—Based on 56 days of observation (Mar 11 days, Apr 15 days, Jul 13 days, Aug 6 days, Sep 5 days, Nov 6 days) during the years 1996--2007 by a single observer using field notes, records of vocalisations and mist netting as identification aids. Gives status, abundance rating, presence in the park and presence around the park for 190 species identified, and an indication of which species were endemic to the Guinea-Congo forest biome. (French, Engl. summ.)
