King T. 2011. The birds of the Lesio-Louna and Lefini Reserves, Batéké Plateau, Republic of Congo. Malimbus 33: 1-41. (The Aspinall Foundation, Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, Hythe, Kent CT21 4PD, U.K. <tonyk"at">.)—Summarizes status of 317 species, based on observations from 2002 to April 2007 (effort not indicated), mist-netting in 2002, 2003 and 2005-2007, and published data. Adds 59 species to the list for the reserves and one subspecies for the country. Gives, for each species where available, information on seasonality, abundance, breeding, moult and morphological measurements. Includes colour photographs of several habitats and species and indicates how photographs of many other species can be accessed. (English, French summary.)

Sammler S. 2011. New breeding data on some lowland forest birds in Western Cameroon, and their implications for altitudinal breeding season reversal. Malimbus 33: 42-54. Includes data from visual observations of attended nests supplemented by mist-netting on 18 days from 6h00 until 18h00. Nasasagare RP. 2011. Un oiseau nouveau au Burundi: le Moineau domestique Passer domesticus. [A new bird in Burundi: the House Sparrow Passer domesticus.] Malimbus 33: 57-58.—(Université de Liège, Belgique et Ecole Normale Supérieure, Burundi <rpnas"at">.)—Traces spread of the species though eastern Africa and reports presence of single males and pairs (no breeding evidence) in Mar-Jul 2009 at three locations in Burundi (3°20'S, 29°15'E; 3°14'S, 29°24'E; 3°21'S, 29°23'E).
